Framing Your Jigsaw Puzzle in 6 Steps

Whenever you find a good jigsaw puzzle for sale, I’m sure you will be looking to frame it. Although it seems that the jigsaw puzzle assembly would prove to be a more difficult task, sometimes that is just not the case. When you have completed your jigsaw puzzle, figuring out how to glue it and frame it can seem to be a much more difficult task.

1) The first step is finding an appropriate size frame for you puzzle. Frames are often times more expensive than the puzzle, but Hobby stores will usually have frames on sale, so keep an eye out.

2) After you have chosen a frame, the next step is figuring out if you want to glue your jigsaw puzzle. If your puzzle is small enough, there might be no need for glue.

3) You will want to buy poster board or plastic to place under your jigsaw puzzle before gluing it.

4) Some people choose to glue their puzzle as they are assembling it. If you are not one of them, that is ok. You can find jigsaw puzzle glue at any hobby store. After you buy your glue, than apply it to your completed jigsaw puzzle as instructed and let dry.

5) After your jigsaw puzzle has been glued the next step is to then place it in the frame.

6) The last step is to find the appropriate hanging place. You could choose to hang it in your living room or in your study, wherever you choose to hang it, be mindful that sunlight can sometimes dull the colors of your completed jigsaw puzzle.
