Where to Find a Good Jigsaw Puzzle

In the days before the internet had become widespread, our options when shopping were often very limited as gas, as well as time to look were key factors when finding a suitable product. Lets just say that you were wanting a fun activity you could do with your children, such as a jigsaw puzzle. The first place you would probably look that would have a jigsaw puzzle for sale would be one of the big box stores. This isn’t a bad choice as you would likely be able to make other necessary purchases while there.

There is however a good chance that the selection would not be all that great, and you might not find a puzzle that would be fun to put together for both you and your children. The puzzle would have to inspire in them the desire to want to complete the task at hand, with the reward of having a picture interesting to them. There is no fun when assembling a jigsaw puzzle if no one really likes the picture it would create.

Another option would be to purchase a jigsaw puzzle secondhand in good or unused condition. This way you know that someone picked out that puzzle specifically because they liked it, and there is a good chance you and your children would as well. But how many yard sales are there that have signs which read “Jigsaw Puzzle For Sale”? I would venture to say none. This would end up wasting a lot of your time, and you still would not have a fun and interesting puzzle to put together. The whole time spent searching would just bring frustration when all you really want is to see a smile on your kids face when they find a piece that fits perfect where they want it to.

There are of course places such as craigslist.org where one could put a wanted ad, but how many people do you really think read the ads looking to sell a low ticket item such as a puzzle? Ebay would end up bringing similar if not worse results. After the listing fees, the seller either has to charge more money than a puzzle is worth to make it worthwhile or risk giving the item away for next to nothing. There is also the chance that you and your children excitedly get to the end only to find that a piece or two or three is missing. This is because just about anybody can use the site without having to make an investment large enough that will ensure they only sell quality.

Amazon on the other hand, works in a much different way which lets the sellers list many more items for one up front price, which makes it much easier for a seller to have low ticket items without being eaten alive by individual listing fees. This way you can search a multitude of jigsaw puzzles for sale at one time, and guarantee that you will find one that both you and your children will love, and really want to finish.
